Cora Robbins died April 27, 1955 at Russellville. She was born on October 3, 1873 at Brick Chapel, the daughter of John and Isabelle Slaves Gilkey. The family moved to Hume, Illinois where she grew to womanhood and married at Hume to Roy Robbins August 25, 1901, the son, Paul was born in Hume; they moved to Fincastle community in 1906. Her husband died in May of 1953. Survivors are two sons, Paul and Orren, six grandchildren: Barbara Robbins of Greencastle; Dick Robbins of the US Navy; Nancy Grimes of Lafayette; John, Donnie and Larry Robbins of Crawfordsville, a sister Mrs. Queen Gibson of Russellville and a half-brother Riggs Gilkey of Hume, Illinois.
